Meet Our Team

Ed Fuller, D.V.M

Dr. Fuller is the owner and president of Pet Menders Animal Hospital, which he established in South Boulder in 1993. He was born in Coral Gables, Florida in 1959 but his parents moved to Littleton, Colorado when he was 3 so he doesn’t remember much about the sunny beach life in Florida!

He began his undergraduate education at Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas on a swimming scholarship, and graduated from SMU in 1981 with a Bachelors of Science Degree in Biology. After graduating from Colorado State University in 1986 with his Veterinary Medicine and Surgery degree, he began practicing veterinary medicine in the wilds of South Dakota. He moved his family back to Colorado in the late 1980’s.

Ed and Jane have 3 adult children and two dogs, Gracie and Bella. They are entering into the grandchildren stage of life, which is a reminder that parenting is for the younger generation. They are both involved in their church, mentoring those who desire to serve the Lord Jesus Christ.

Dr. Fuller is licensed to practice veterinary medicine, dentistry, and surgery and received advanced post-graduate training in surgery, ultrasound, acupuncture, stem cell therapy and laparoscopy. He is a current member of AVMA, CVMA, LPVMS and VSLS.

Todd Russell, D.V.M

Dr. Russell has been an associate veterinarian at Pet Menders since 2003. He hails from Mt. Pleasant, Michigan. Born and raised in this quaint, small, college town, he enjoyed moderate success during his parochial years with his most productive years coming during his sophomore and seniors campaigns. Todd went on to do his undergraduate work at Michigan State University, obtaining a Zoology degree with honors in a mere four years. He decided his Spartan years were not behind him and continued on to the College of Veterinary Medicine at Michigan State University, graduating with his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 2001.

At that time Dr. Russell decided to leave the great state of Michigan and move to Colorado to start his professional career. Initially starting in the Thornton area for his first few years, Dr. Russell has found a home and settled into the Pet Menders family.

Personally, Todd enjoys a variety of activities, most involving chasing a ball around a field, court, or perhaps even a parking lot (much like our canine friends). Todd also enjoys passing time watching his beloved Michigan sports teams—Spartans, Red Wings, Tigers and yes, the Lions.

Todd and his wife, Amanda, reside in Firestone with their daughter, Berkleigh, and son, Maverick. They also have an elderly dog, Tommy.

Eleanor Cordi, CVT

In May of 2011, Eleanor graduated from the Community College of Denver with an Associates Degree of Applied Sciences in Veterinary Technology. She started her full time employment with Pet Menders in June of 2011.

Eleanor is originally from Baltimore, MD. She received her B.A. in History from Emory University in Atlanta, GA.  In 2001, she moved to New York City where she worked in non-fiction television production for eight years.

Eleanor lives in Longmont with her husband, Matt, son, Gus, and their black DSH cat named “Tim Riggins.”

Amethyst Johannes, CVT

Amethyst is a Colorado native who received an Associates Degree in Veterinary Technology from the Community College of Denver in 2017.  She also has a Bachelor's Degree in History and English Literature from the University of Colorado at Boulder.

She is very passionate about animal rescue and cats, and she shares her home with five feline companions: Arthur, Merlin, Rosebud, Pascal and Diana.  Amethyst is an artist by trade and dabbles in both human and animal portraiture as well as helping out with the family jewelry business.  She also enjoys reading, writing, knitting and cooking in her spare time.

Heather Dillon, Office Manager

Heather Dillon joined Pet Menders in 2003 as the receptionist, moved to the Saturday receptionist position in 2008 and presently serves as the office manager. Her life-long passion for animals inspired her to work in a veterinary setting where she is responsible for keeping the front desk and veterinarians working smoothly. She loves the variety and challenges in veterinary practice management and is at home working with companion animals and those that love them!

Heather was born in San Antonio, Texas, raised in sunny Southern California and moved to beautiful Colorado in 1998. She currently resides in Thornton with her three Cocker Spaniels, Copper, Lexi and Ruby.

Heather enjoys spending her spare time repairing computers, reading, traveling, working on her Jeep and spending time with family and friends.
